The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council is currently demolishing buildings cited in the Dodowa forest. The Regional Minister, Titus Glover said this is part of efforts to prevent further encroachment on land in the forest. The Regional Minister said, "I have a document that confirms the land is for the people of Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region. It has been two months since I asked the other group to provide ownership of this land for that site in the Dodowa forest". Members of the community expressed satisfaction about the demolition, saying it is long overdue.
