In a recent interview on Accra FM with Nana Romeo, Ghanaian music sensation Sefa highlighted the challenges female musicians face in the Ghanaian music industry. Sharing her personal experiences, Sefa pointed out that many people often prioritize physical appearance over the hard work and dedication that female artists invest in their craft."I don't know about other female artists, but that's what I've noticed.
A lot of Ghanaians forget about the hard work and focus mainly on looks," She said, expressing her frustration over this narrow perception, which undermines the significant effort and investment female artists put into their music.
The discussion took a serious turn when Sefa recounted a traumatic incident during a performance in Kasoa, where she was sexually assaulted after leaving the stage. "Yes, I have been harassed sexually," she stated. "After performing, I felt hands all over me…my breasts, my private parts…like men and women touching me.
That was where I really felt it," she explained.
