Renowned Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari has disclosed the story behind the famous character name, 'Beyonce' in the 2006 blockbuster movie.Nadia played a lead role in the movie 'Beyonce: The President's Daughter' which was released in 2006.
According to her, the movie is one which brought her to the limelight and catapulted her career.Interestingly, her character name was not meant to be 'Beyonce' in the movie.Nadia Buari revealed on The Afternoon Show on October 23 that she personally chose the name, 'Beyonce' with belief that the name was going to serve the right purpose of her role."I think it would be Beyonce because Beyonce was every where and you know what's crazy so the character wasn't originally called Beyonce."When I got the script, immediately I could relate and called the producer and said to him that I really believe this movie would catapult my career so if I want to be known by any name, I would like to be known by Beyonce."So, I chose that name and when I said to him, he said sure, of course as long as you can give me what I want," she stated. The revered actress believes the saturation of social media now has caused producers and directors to double efforts towards the promotion of movies."Due to the diversities of viewing outlets via social media outlets now I think the hunger that people had for movies is wind.
I think it's not as before because now everybody's go-to entertainment is on their phone or TikTok while social media is great, I feel like when its really saturated, it derails people's attention."I feel like now we have to do ten times the work to create the awareness for people to know.
It very different now as compared to when we started. After a hiatus from acting, Nadia Buari is back to the screens with 'Forever in a Night', produced by John N.
