Mr Patrick Banor, the Member of Parliament representing the Asutifi North Constituency in the Ahafo Region, has successfully enrolled 3,000 individuals from the area into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). Previously, he facilitated the registration of 2,500 constituents from the Gambia, Kenyasi No. 1, Ntotroso, Goamu, and Kenyasi No. 2 zones into the NHIS, aiming to enhance the financial accessibility and affordability of healthcare for local residents. The enrollment initiative encompasses both the registration of new members and the renewal of existing memberships, along with additional benefits such as verifying validity status, linking NHIS cards to Ghana cards, and integrating with the digital registration platforms of the scheme. In an interview with journalists at the various mobile registration centres in Kenyasi No 1 and Kenyasi No 2 on Tuesday, Mr Patrick Banor expressed his commitment to achieving a 100 per cent enrollment in the health scheme within the constituency. The Member of Parliament highlighted that the residents of Asutifi North have placed their trust in him through their votes over the past seven years, expecting him to implement results-driven policies and programmes that promote socio-economic development.
