Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Caucus in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has declared his intention to push for a recall of Parliament today, Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
The Member of Parliament for Effutu, in an interview with Citi FM on Tuesday, October 22, expressed his reservations regarding the decision by Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin to suspend the House indefinitely.
The Speaker's action, according to Afenyo-Markin, is part of a larger plan by National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs to impede legislative activity.
He further accused the MPs of trying to destroy Ghana's economy.
