The LaDMA), in the Greater Accra Region, has trained at least 90 residents in facial, interior and exterior decorations and catering in order to enable them to set up their own businesses.
The 12-week event, which was financed with money from the assembly's Internally Generated Fund (IGF), was aimed at equipping beneficiaries with the requisite knowledge and skills, to be gainfully employed and self-reliant.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony last Friday at La, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of LaDMA, Solomon Kotey Nikoi, noted that training in entrepreneurship and vocational skills were on the ascendancy worldwide.
He, therefore, stated that there was the need for the assembly to step up efforts in training the youth in such sectors to make them more resourceful.
