In a startling turn of events, Cynthia Mamle Morrison, the sitting Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of conspiring with the Electoral Commission(EC) to eliminate her from the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Madam Morrison, now running as an independent candidate after failing to secure her party's nomination, expressed deep frustration with the party she has served for years.

During a revealing interview captured by MyNewsGH.com, Morrison detailed her disillusionment with the NPP, accusing them of underhanded tactics and internal sabotage.

According to her, the NPP has worked closely with electoral officials to block her participation in the December 7 elections, with her name being omitted from ballot papers. "They [NPP] have teamed up with the Electoral Commission to ensure my name is not on the ballot, but I will not be silenced," she declared. "The people of Agona West deserve to have their voices heard, and I am determined to represent them." The MP, who has been with the party for years, expressed disappointment in how she was treated during the primaries.
