The Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has stated that he reported the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs who sat on the majority side, claiming to be the majority, to the Speaker of , Alban Sumana Bagbin.
According to him, when convened its meeting on October 22, 2024, he had a meeting with the Speaker and asked him to talk to the NDC members sitting on the majority side.
However, the Speaker stated that he was not in charge of the seating arrangement.
Speaking in an interview on Citi News on October 22, 2024, he stated, "He [Bagbin] respectfully invited us to his office for a meeting and said he had received the court ruling and was going to inform the House. "Many people had visited him and asked for more time for consultation, and he was going to adjourn the House.
