Transport Minister, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah has entreated transport, and logisticS operators to exploit Ghana's transition to green transport.

He implored the operators in a keynote address at the 2024 CILT Ghana Logistics and Transport conference at the Wesley Towers in Accra.

Asiamah, in the address read on his behalf by Ivy Masimah, director of policy, planning, Monitoring and evaluation at the Ministry of transport, he stated that the government is committed to the transition, however, noting that achieving the course require participation from all stakeholders. "The transition to a green and circular economy requires the participation of all stakeholders, government, private sector, civil society, and the general public.

Government is committed to leading the way by creating an enabling environment, but the active engagement of logistics operators, vehicle manufacturers, service providers, and the general public is crucial for success." He, in that vein, tasked CILT to frontline the agenda and train individuals and organizations to sharpen their skills in the green job.
