The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has strongly refuted claims of deploying military personnel to disrupt parliamentary proceedings.

This response follows media reports alleging that soldiers were sent to interfere with Parliament's Fifth Meeting of the Fourth Session, held on Tuesday, October 22, at the Grand Arena of the Accra Conference Center.

In a statement released on the same day, GAF clarified that the deployment was made at the request of the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, but stressed that the military personnel were not present to interfere with any parliamentary activities.

GAF described the reports as false and misleading.
