The Executive Director of the African Center for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) has cast doubts on the likelihood of Members of Parliament being decorous on Tuesday when Parliament reconvenes.
Dr Rasheed Draman explained this is due to the posture of both sides of Parliament over the raging disagreements over the Speaker and Supreme Court's opposite rulings.
Speaking on Joy FM's Top Story on Monday, October 21, he called on leaders in the country to intervene in the matter, adding that the "President, Speaker and Chief Justice have to have a conversation." "Anybody who thinks that this matter is going to be resolved evenly and we can rely on our parliamentarians to show decorum, I mean the posturing that we have heard so far … no," he said.
