New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has expressed unwavering confidence in his party's ability to secure a parliamentary majority and clinch the presidency in the upcoming elections.
In a discussion on Peace FM's morning show monitored by MyNewsGH.com, he emphasized the NPP's determination to outmanoeuvre the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and emerge victorious. "We are not going to allow the NDC any space to gain ground," Afenyo-Markin declared firmly, reflecting on the narrow majority the NPP experienced following the 2020 elections.
He acknowledged the NDC's strategy, which had been highly effective in increasing their parliamentary seats in the previous election, posing a challenge to the NPP's stronghold.
According to Afenyo-Markin, the NDC's approach in 2020 was calculated, especially with the idea that John Dramani Mahama would lose to President Nana Akufo-Addo.
