Ghanaian musician and songwriter, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei, popularly known as Trigmatic, has emphasized the importance of collaboration over competition in the arts space.
Trigmatic, who also serves as the head of brands and partnerships at Africa Arts Network, believes that fostering unity through the arts can strengthen the African narrative and promote a collective cultural experience.
Speaking on Asaase Radio'sArtsyon Saturday, October 19, Trigmatic highlighted the need to bring Africans together using the power of art. "It's about bringing Africans together, using art as a tool," he stated.
He added that their agenda at Africa Arts Network is to project the African experience through various forms of art across the continent.Ahead of the production "You Play Me, I Play You," Trigmatic emphasized that their aim is not only to entertain but also to reignite the love for theatre while sharing African stories. "We've tried to become the bridge for Africa to come together using art, telling our stories through theatre… not to say that it was completely dead, but sort of rekindling it and also entertaining people," he explained.
