The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has issued a stern warning to the public to refrain from packaging and distributing "Galamsey Water" across the country.
This warning comes in response to reports of individuals selling sachet water labeled as galamsey water, purportedly to raise awareness about the growing concerns surrounding illegal mining activities.
In a press statement released on Monday, October 21, the FDA expressed serious concerns regarding this trend and announced that it would take action against anyone found violating this directive.
The FDA emphasized that such practices are a blatant violation of the permits granted to registered water-producing companies.
