The has launched a manhunt for suspect Fatau Motorway, who is wanted in connection with a recent clash between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a statement issued on Monday, October 21, 2024, the police appealed to the public for assistance to apprehend the suspect.
It also announced a reward for anyone with information leading to his arrest. "The police are appealing to the public to support Police intelligence-led efforts by providing information that could lead to his arrest. "A reward of Twenty Thousand Cedis (GH₵20,000.00) is being offered for anyone who provides credible information leading to his arrest," it stated.
On October 13, 2024, a routine political campaign walk at Mamobi in Accra turned violent when a group of motorbike riders from the NDC side confronted NPP supporters, leading to a verbal altercation that quickly turned physical.
