Lions International, part of the world's largest humanitarian organization, in collaboration with its affiliated members, including Accra Ubuntu LC, Accra Ultimate LC, Tema Greenwich LC, Accra Ubuntu Leo Club, Accra Ultimate Leo Club, and Koforidua U-Tech Leo Club, has donated 16 school desks to New Juaben Secondary School.
This donation aims to address the school's infrastructure challenges, particularly the shortage of desks, which has impacted teaching and learning.
In addition to the donation, Lions International also provided free health screenings for students and staff as part of its ongoing commitment to youth empowerment, cancer awareness, environmental conservation, and poverty eradication.
The initiative was part of the school's Homecoming celebration, held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in the Eastern Region.
