Bishop Salifu Amoako, a well-known religious leader and father of the 16-year-old boy involved in the tragic accident that claimed the lives of two young girls in East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024, has urged Ghanaians to stop discussing the incident.
In what appeared to be a defence of his son, Bishop Amoako emphasized that the accident was an unfortunate event and not an intentional act of violence.
The incident, which resulted in the fiery deaths of the two girls, has drawn widespread attention, partly due to the prominence of Bishop Amoako.
During a church service at the Alive Chapel International, where he addressed the congregation on Sunday, October 20, the bishop expressed frustration with the public outcry, arguing that his son did not commit murder but was involved in a tragic accident. "It was an accident," Bishop Amoako said. "My son did not carry a gun to kill anybody.
