Godwin Edudzi Tamekloe, Director, Legal Affairs, NDC Director of Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, has described the petition filed by a Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ernest Owusu-Bempah to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare to arrest publishers of the Agyapadie document, as a useless petition. He told 3news.com that "In fact, Dampare will be a fool to even direct any investigation into this." "This is a very useless petition," he stressed. In his petition, Owusu-Bempah said "It is alleged that key players in the NDC, the likes of Dr Omane Boamah, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Abraham Amaliba and Edudzi Tamaklo have a thing to do with the document. "The publishers of the Awake news and their collaborators have developed a penchant for the publication of fake news because they always gets away with it regardless of the magnitude of such evil lies they peddles. "I therefore call for an investigation into the entire Agyapadie publication and those believed to have orchestrated the publication to be fished out and followed up with a view to punish them in accordance with the relevant sections of the criminal offences Act. I believe in public accountability and want to reiterate the point that no one is above accountability. As a country we cannot look on for the NDC to always peddle brazen and wicked falsehood and later turn around to say this is politics." Below is his full petition… August 8th, 2024 Attention Dr George Akuffo Dampare Inspector General of Police Police Headquarters Аcсrа PETITION: Request For Action On The Agyapadie Fake News Publication Please accept my compliment.
