The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has once again slammed the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for mismanaging Ghana's economy since assuming power in January 2017.

According to him, the NPP inherited a healthy and thriving economy from the NDC but has run it into a total mess.

Addressing supporters as part of his campaign tour in the Greater Accra region, John Mahama stated that the NDC, whenever in government, took responsibility and fixed the economy whenever it encountered challenges, unlike the NPP, which is quick to blame others. "The NPP government, which took over in January 2017, has clearly failed.

They have completely failed in all aspects of our progress as a society.
