Speaker of Parliament acted unlawfully – NPP’s Ishaq Ibrahim argues

 A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communication team, Ishaq Ibrahim has argued that the speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin acted unlawfully by declaring Four (4) seats vacant without waiting for the verdict from the Supreme Court.

According to him, he believes the Supreme Court will overturn the decision made by the Speaker of Parliament.

Ishaq Ibrahim reiterates that the Speaker acted unlawfully and refused to pay fidelity to the law, referring to the constitution which the Speaker of Parliament used to make his decision.

While citing what Article 97 (g) and (h) he stated that the NPP expelled Hon Asiamah and informed the speaker about it because he breached the constitution.
