The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia has recounted the hard times he went through in the past during a meeting with the creative sector on Wednesday, October 17, 2024.

While responding to a plea made by dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, on the need for Bawumia to find ways of helping young people on the streets, the Vice-President mentioned that because he had been in similar situations in the past, he empathised with such underprivileged people.

Speaking in pidgin English at the behest of Shatta Wale, Dr Bawumia said "Me I be farm worker before, by-day worker, I be taxi driver before, I be cleaner before, so I know how people dey suffer before," he said.He also highlighted the humanitarian work he has been doing for people. "What dey my heart be the people wey dey suffer for the country inside.
