State prosecutors have accused a 25-year-old shop attendant named Linda Bonsu Prempeh of being the one who gave the keys to the white Jaguar involved in the fatal accident at East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024, to the 16-year-old son of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, the Founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International Church.
During court proceedings on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the prosecutors told the court that Linda Bonsu Prempeh gave the key to Salifu Amoako's son knowing very well that he was a minor and it was illegal to drive.
According to graphic.com.gh, the lead prosecutor told the court that the sales attendant "gave the key to the vehicle to the 16-year-old knowing very well that he was a minor and did not have a driver's licence." It was also disclosed in the court that the two females who were burnt to death in the crash were both 12 years old.
Bishop Salifu Amoako, Mouha Amoako, and Linda Bonsu Prempeh have been charged with "permitting an unlicensed person to drive." All three have pleaded not guilty as they appeared in court on Wednesday, October 16, a report by GHOne TV has said.
