Private Legal Practitioner Samson Lardy Anyenini has expressed strong criticisms against the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana regarding the disqualification of Joana Cudjoe, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for Amenfi Central.
Speaking during a discussion on Joy News' PM Express, Mr Anyenini clarified the nature of an interlocutory injunction stating, "An interlocutory injunction is not a final order of a court.
It does not determine the rights of the parties.
The fact that it restrains certain actions temporarily doesn't mean the affected parties will not emerge victorious at the end of the case." His comments come in light of the EC's decision to disqualify Cudjoe based on an injunction related to the NDC's primary election held on May 13, 2023.
