The Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan has stated that the One District One Factory (IDIF) has created a direct employment of 1,095 and 14,750 indirect employment in the Central Region.She mentioned that 11 of the projects have been completed and in operation and 13 are under construction.The "One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative, launched under the administration and tenure of President Akufo-Addo, sought to propel the country into a more industrialized economy by establishing a factory in each of the 261 districts.Marigold Assan made the remarks at the Central Regional Townhall Meeting and Exhibition.Also speaking at the event was the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Mavis Hawah Koomson.
She also highlighted the contributions of the Fisheries sector which has provided over 3 million jobs.The Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr.
Anthony Nsiah-Asare for his part, reiterated that the Agenda 111 and Euroget Hospital project upon completion will address the gaps in healthcare infrastructure and improve access to medical services.In her opening remarks, the Minister for Information, Hon.
Fatimatu Abubakar explained that the meetings served as a platform to bridge the gap between the Government and the public, fostering trust and ensuring transparency.The event also featured exhibitions showcasing Government initiatives and projects in various sectors of the economy, including infrastructure, roads, health care, and education.
