Flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana, Kofi Akplaloo, has attributed his defeat in the 2020 general elections to his position on the ballot paper and not starting his campaign on time.

Speaking on Election Desk on GhanaWeb TV, he emphasised that starting his campaign late coupled with the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. "I didn't do well in the last elections because I didn't campaign on time.

I waited till the election year, and when I started, there was COVID.There was lockdown, and I couldn't go out.

So, when I started, I didn't have time. "I was number 8 on the ballot paper.
