Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, professionally known as Oxlade has shared that, despite his Nigerian roots, he feels a deeper sense of love and support from Ghana.
The singer revealed that his decision to feature Ghanaian hip-hop legend Sarkodie on his debut album, Oxlade from Africa, was a reflection of this connection.
Speaking in a recent interview, Oxlade expressed immense gratitude for the warmth he's received from Ghanaian fans, noting that the reception in Ghana has been much more welcoming compared to the hurdles he faces in his home country."It's a refreshing contrast," he said, highlighting how the Ghanaian music scene has embraced him, giving him a strong sense of belonging.
The crooner also addressed some of the frustrations he's aired on social media, specifically about "OGs" who he claims have tried to boycott or blackmail him.
