The First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has inaugu­rated the refurbished Ga Traditional Council building in or­der to boost its operations towards promoting socio-cultural cohesion.

She was assisted by the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II; the Minister of Health, Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye; the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey; the Greater Accra Re­gional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, and the Chief Ex­ecutive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Elizabeth Naa Kwasoe Tawiah Sackey.

The refurbished facility, designed by Rafogoe Architects and con­structed by KNAS Developments within five-month serves as a monumental edifice, and blend­ing cultural heritage with modern design.

It features a new throne room and private corridor for the Ga Mantse, an enhanced records stor­age facility and disability-friendly washrooms.
