The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a stern warning to Ghanaian applicants regarding the submission of forged or falsified documents for visa processing.

The Ministry reports that several individuals, either knowingly or unknowingly, have been presenting such documents for authentication.

In a statement released on Monday, the Ministry emphasized that the act of presenting forged or fake documents is a serious offense under Ghanaian law, specifically sections 158, 159, 166, and 169 of the Criminal and Offences Act of 1961 (Act 29).

Offenders found guilty under these sections are liable to face legal prosecution and penalties.
