Mr Samuel Awuku, Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), provided a glimpse into his strategic approach to leadership and success.
His tenure at the NLA has been marked by significant changes, which he shared during the conversation, shedding light on how he turned around an institution once plagued by public criticism.
Awuku, a loyal member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a recent interview on Asaase Radio monitored by MyNewsGh.com, emphasized his decision to rise above political divisions in his role. "From day one, I made it clear-I wasn't going to carry anyone's baggage or fight their political battles," he explained. "My goal was to unify the team and ensure that we worked together for the good of the organization." This declaration, as Awuku noted, shifted the dynamics within the NLA.
Instead of allowing political affiliations to dictate office relations, he fostered an environment where professionalism took precedence. "The transformation started when people understood that our focus had to be on delivering results, not pushing personal or political agendas," he added.
