Security Consultant, Richard Kumadoe has criticized the police for not acting more decisively to avert the clash between supporters of New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress on October 12.

Mr Kumadoe said his opinion is based on the fact the area was identified as a potential hotspot ahead of the general elections.

The clash which resulted in a shootout, occurred near the Mamobi market during a campaign walk.

Two people got wounded and six others are receiving treatment at the Police Hospital and Mamobi General Hospital. "This incident could have been avoided," he said on 3FM's Hot Edition on October 14, adding that the police had prior intelligence about the volatility of the area.
