Four persons are feared dead and several others critically injured after a rock blast as part of a construction project on the Budumburam stretch of the Accra Winneba highway.
The rock blast which lasted for a few minutes was done after several vehicles on the stretch were halted for the activity to take place.
This is not the first time rocks have been blasted on the Budumburam section of the highway according to residents of the area.
They said the blasting of the rock often destroys the roofing sheets of houses around the Big Apple area whenever it is done.
