Residents of Wenchi gave the clearest indication of turning the town blue once again, with a mammoth welcome for NPP Presidential Candidate, on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Wenchi, the home town of one of the founding fathers of the NPP, Kofi Abrefa Busia, has always voted NPP, but the party lost the parliamentary seat in 2020, a shocking defeat attributed to internal division.
However, on Sunday, the NPP signalled a formidable force, with all feuding parties coming together, alongside the party's parliamentary candidate, Kojo Frempong, and thousands of supporters showing up to welcome Dr.
Bawumia.
