In a significant political shift, over 1,500 supporters of the (NDC) have defected to the (NPP) in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency, Eastern Region of Ghana with the name "Hasken Zabarma" Leading the group, Munkaila Garibah, also known as Home Boga, explained in an interview with Peace FM's Eastern Regional Correspondent, Michael Akrofi, that their decision was influenced by the development projects the NPP government has undertaken in their Zongo community.

Garibah stated that they had previously voted against the NPP due to a long-standing narrative from their elders, claiming that the NPP would repatriate them if voted into power-a claim they now believe to be false. "We were told by our elders in the Zongo community to vote against the NPP or risk being expelled if they came to power.

Despite voting against them, Hon.

Annoh Dompreh, our MP, has continuously brought development to us and never neglected us.
