Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to revitalize the Tumu Cotton Generics in the Sissala East Municipality of the Upper West Region.
The former President said the once-thriving cotton generics would witness a massive facelift.
He added that, the facility, when revitalised and put into operation, will be managed by a private entity to enable it to function well to create more jobs and boost economic growth.
Addressing a durbar of Chiefs and people of Tumu, and party supporters on Sunday, October 13, 2024, as part of his 3-day campaign tour of the region, Mahama emphasized the sector's potential for transformational growth.
