The NDC will not allow itself to be intimidated during the December general elections. Mr. Andrews Augustus Nana Akwasi, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, stated that the NDC would not countenance the use of the country's military by the NPP government to intimidate its members during the elections. Addressing party supporters at a rally at Asewase, he said the leadership in the region would not hesitate to challenge any security official if they did not conduct themselves in a professional manner. Nana Akwasi deplored the subtle attempt by the government to make changes in the military hierarchy in the region and said such a move would not intimidate the NDC members from being vigilant in the upcoming elections. "We are sending a clear message that we are prepared for any attempts by the military to misuse their authority against our people during the election.
