Matchday six of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League (GPL) served up some interesting results, with Hearts of Oak back to winning ways, while defending champions Samartex had their game against Nsoatreman rained off. 3Sports takes a look at some major talking points.
Hearts of Oak back to winning ways When Young Apostles Samuel Prempeh scored a stunning overhead kick to equalise for the hosts in Wenchi against Hearts of Oak, the game looked to be heading for a 1-1 draw until Hamza Issah's last-gasp winner.
Issah's instinctive strike put Hearts of Oak ahead and sealed all three points for the visitors.
The win would do Hearts of Oak's confidence a world of good after playing out two goalless stalemates on the back of their first league victory against Bechem United on Matchday three.
