The Electoral Commission (EC) has urged the general public to have confidence and trust in them to deliver on their mandate in the 2024 general elections.
The commission made this appeal after announcing the publication of the ballot statistics to guide the printing of the Presidential and Parliamentary Election Ballots ahead of the 2024 General Election.
In arriving at the ballot statistics, the Commission said it took into account the total number of voters on the 2024 Provisional Voters Register (PVR) plus a two percent increase.
While the Commission welcomes and encourages a total voter turnout on Election Day, it also recognizes that not every registered voter will vote in the 2024 General Election.
