The President-elect of the University of Ghana (UG), Students Representative Council (SRC), Maradona Yeboah Adjei has questioned the motive behind the galamsey strike by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).
According to the student leader popularly known as Guru NKZ, we need to find out the political party affiliation of the leadership of UTAG because their strike smacks of hypocrisy and partisan interests.
Speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye, he said "The question I want to ask is have UTAG not seen galamsey activities going on in the country for so long and just a month to elections that they want to go on strike?
We have to investigate and know the main reason why UTAG has decided to demonstrate by this time because there is a big question mark on it.
