The (EC) has denied claims that it has started printing ballot papers for the upcoming 2024 General Election.
In a statement issued by Mr.
Samuel Tettey, Deputy EC Chair in Charge of Operations, the Commission acknowledged public statements suggesting that the EC had not provided necessary ballot statistics before printing. "We would like to assure the General Public that printing of ballot papers has not commenced. "Printing of Notices of Poll for the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, however, begins on Friday, 11th October, 2024," the EC said.
The EC clarified that, by convention, it would provide ballot statistics to candidates, political parties, and printing houses before any printing of ballot papers begins.
