The management of the University of Ghana (UG) has clarified the circumstances leading to the closure of the Legon Botanical Gardens.
The closure of the recreational facility was announced on Friday, October 11 via a tweet on X.
However, the University's management in a statement issued on October 12 said the facility is being closed down due to failure of contractual obligations by a company it entered into agreement with in 2009.
Legon Botanical Gardens to be closed down on October 30 According to the statement, Mulch Company in 2009 agreed with the University to be responsible for the renovation and management of the Gardens.
