The flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Agbenu Akpaloo, has outlined what he believes to be a unique policy aimed at providing financial benefits to children in Ghana if he is elected as president in the upcoming general election.

The initiative, known as the Child Benefit policy, seeks to stimulate the economy while providing every Ghanaian child with a monthly stipend of GH¢500.

Sharing his vision on TV's Election Desk with Mawuli Ahorlumegah, Akpaloo mentioned that the goal of the policy is to provide the necessary financial cushion, thereby allowing the government to generate revenue through goods and services activities which often attract VAT utilized for national development. "The idea is that when you pump money into the system, you are stimulating the economy to generate demand activities.

Assuming you have four kids who are given 500 cedis per child every month, that makes it 2000.
