Ghanaian journalist Afia Pokuaa, popularly known as Vim Lady, has called on the President of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) to establish a satisfactory pension plan for journalists in the country.

During an interview on Kofi TV, the seasoned broadcaster expressed concern about how some Ghanaian journalists leave their jobs to seek better opportunities due to what she describes as an inadequate pension plan.

She believes that with a proper policy implemented by the GJA, Ghanaian journalists would be more likely to remain in their home country. "The reason why many journalists in the country are leaving to find better opportunities is due to the economy.

Not all media houses in the country have a proper pension plan or tier 2 pension.
