The General Secretary of the Ghana Federation of Labour, Mr Abraham Koomson has described the approach of the strike threatened by the Trades Union Congress (TUC) as wrong.

While reacting to the suspended strike by Organized Labour during an interview on Ghana Tonight monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Abraham Koomson stated that the decision to go on a strike to show their displeasure over the galamsey activities was a good but the process and approach was not the best.   According to him, Organized Labour did not explain to its grassroots members the motive behind the planned strike action He mentioned that the best way for Organized Labour to attack this was to inform the local and district-level members of the motive behind the strike, adding that it would have built momentum. "It is the approach and our own structures that was the problem we had.

I'm not surprised, i know nothing would come out of this.

It would have been better if we had embarked on a demonstration that would have even brought some results".
