The Manufacturers of Supacem cement, CBI Ghana Limited, has handed over a borehole to the Koforidua Okorase community in the Eastern Region as part of their societal corporate social responsibility.

The Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication at CBI Ghana Ltd, Adeline Esi Sutherland, explained that the borehole project was undertaken in partnership with local distributor, Sammar Trading, to address area's long water challenge.

She said by providing a reliable source of clean water, Supacem was demonstrating its commitment to improving the quality of life in the communities where it operates. "As part of Supacem's commitment to corporate social responsibility, we partnered with our local distributor who identified a need within the community of Koforidua Okorase for sustainable access to clean water. "This borehole project aligns with our goal to make a positive, long-term impact on the communities where we operate by providing a solution that will improve daily life and health," she explained.

The project, she said, exemplified Supacem's dedication to sustainable development. "Just as we produce eco-friendly LC3 cement to reduce carbon emissions in the construction industry, we also aim to minimise environmental impacts in our CSR projects," Ms Sutherland added.
