Naa Atswei Nee-Okpey, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications team member has asserted that the request made by the Organized Labour was not met hence the decision to call off the strike is unnecessary.

During a panel interview on TV3's NewDay monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Naa Atswei mentioned that Labour made some demands from the government during their meeting with President Akufo-Addo but the requests are yet to be met.

He questioned Organized Labour if the equipment at the galamsey sites had been evacuated as requested in their statement issued. "Organized labour should come again, their government request has not been met.

For instance, they called for the evacuation of all mining equipment from the mining sites.
