The former Secretary for the Convention  People's Party  (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah has descended heavily on the Managing Director of GIHOC, Maxwell Kofi Jumah after he threatened to sack staff who embarked on the strike to fight against galamsey.

During a panel discussion on TV3's NewDay monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Nana Yaa Jantuah chastised Kofi Jumah for trampling on the rights of his staff by threatening them over the strike.

According to Nana Yaa Jantuah, Kofi Jumah should be one of the people in Ghana worried about the current situation of the water bodies since his company uses water as a base for the alcoholic beverages they produce. "Workers have the right to strike because it's their human right in the Labour Act.

So he can't wake up and say he will sack any staff who joins the strike.
