The National Sports Authority (NSA) has issued a warning against the "Stop Galamsey" protests and other planned demonstrations during the Black Stars' 2025 AFCON qualifying match against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Last week, Ghanaian youths took to the streets of Accra for three days, protesting against illegal small-scale mining-commonly known as galamsey-which has led to the pollution of numerous rivers, endangering the safety of citizens.

Protest organizers have indicated their intention to continue the demonstrations at the stadium during the crucial match.

Fans have been encouraged to wear their protest attire, prompting the NSA to respond with a strong warning just hours before kickoff.
