The President of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT) Ghana, King Ali Awudu asserts that declaring a state of emergency during the period will affect the upcoming elections and the sitting government.
While speaking to the press, King Ali explained that declaring a state of emergency goes through a long process before it can be implemented.
According to him, declaring that within this period will be a problem since it is an election year, reiterating that it will affect the electoral fortunes of the government.
King Ali however explained that although the Organized Labour knew that calling on the President to declare a state of emergency was not a good time, they had a motive to achieve. "Declaring a state of emergency goes through a process.
