The fight against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey, is beginning to show tangible results, following recent directives issued by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In response to growing concerns over the destructive impact of galamsey on the environment, the President ordered the intensification of efforts to curb illegal mining activities.
The effects of these orders are already being felt on the ground, particularly in the Manso area of the Ashanti Region.
