Founder of the Perez Chapel International, Archbishop , has stated that due to illegal mining activities popularly known as galamsey occurring in the country, Ghana is contradicting the mandate that God gave to man.
Speaking to his congregation in a sermon, the archbishop stated that God's mandate to man was to keep and preserve the land.
However, galamsey has degraded the lands and water bodies, contradicting this divine mandate.
Providing details on why people are involved in galamsey, he stated that unemployment is a major factor driving people into illegal mining.
